#1. Dear Team,

I'm excited to let you know that our business will be joining forces with another firm. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to develop and expand our ideas and knowledge. Indeed, there will be some modifications, however, overall, I feel this is a great move on our company’s part.

Layoffs and wage cuts have been rumored, but I can promise you this won’t be in the plan, as we are keeping all our team onboard. We'll be relocating to a new, bigger location that we'll share with the new corporation. At this moment, specific office locations have not been decided, but everyone will have a nice, comfortable, workspace.

Although there is a possibility for new training, there are no planned job cutbacks. With the new work training, many new opportunities are in store.

We appreciate your ongoing commitment to our business. Not only will we grow stronger, but we will build an amazing team with everyone.

Sincerely,

Jordann Human

#2   Subject: Workplace Problem

Hi Supervisor,

I wanted to bring to your attention a work-related problem. Recently, I’ve noticed my workload is very minimal and I’m starting to feel like I haven’t been given enough work. It has come to my attention I am the first to finish my duties and am left with nothing to do. I have also noticed my co-workers are experiencing similar situations and are finished with their work for the day earlier and earlier.

I think there are a few reasons for this. First reason could be lack of jobs. The company is experiencing fewer incoming orders, so the duties for us are not as plentiful.  Additionally, we now have taken on more vendors, so those venders are filling more orders which in turn gives us less workload.

I've been looking into some options to stay busy such as, taking on additional tasks, asking around if anyone needs help, but it’s to no avail. Due to this, my morale is low and I’m starting to think I am not an attribute to the company.

I wanted to talk with you to brainstorm some solutions. One idea that came to mind was asking other teams within the company if they need help filling orders.  I feel like it’s important to stay productive at work, so we are efficient and effective to keep the momentum and job progressing.
